Structural Design

Structural design is responsible for ensuring the vessel's integrity, strength, and safety under all operational conditions. It involves meticulously calculating and defining every component's dimension and material properties to withstand forces like waves, wind, and internal loads, guaranteeing a robust and durable vessel that complies with international standards and classification society rules.

Precise calculation and determination of the dimensions and sizes for all structural elements within the yacht, such as frames, stringers, bulkheads, and plating. This critical step ensures that every part of the vessel is adequately sized to safely withstand anticipated loads and stresses throughout its lifespan.

Stuctural Scantling

Detailed specifications outlining the type, orientation, number of layers, and resin system for each composite material used. These schedules are crucial for achieving the required strength, stiffness, and weight targets, ensuring optimal performance and durability of the composite boat.

Laminate Schedules

From traditional fiberglass and polyester construction to high-performance carbon/epoxy. We also work proficiently with aluminium and wood, and are actively pushing the boundaries for more sustainable solutions by incorporating natural and mineral fibers combined with bio-based and thermoplastic resins. We consider factors like strength-to-weight ratio, durability, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability, recommending optimal solutions to meet the project's specifications and environmental goals.

Material Selection

Comprehensive document that compiles all calculations, analyses, design methodologies, and compliance statements related to the yacht's structure. It provides full transparency and detailed justification for the design, serving as a vital record for classification societies, regulatory bodies, and future reference, and can be prepared to ISO Standards or Class Rule requirements.
