Carbon fiber is always the best choice.

Is it?

Carbon fibre can deliver excellent stiffness and outstanding strength to weight performance. But choosing a material is not simply about picking the one with the highest raw numbers. Cost, manufacturing process, durability, impact requirements, production repeatability and the specific load case all shape the decision, and any one of them can rule carbon fibre out.

Sometimes carbon fibre is exactly the right solution. Sometimes another material makes far more sense for the job.

Good engineering is never about reaching for the most advanced option. It is about choosing the right material for the application, in the right place, for the right reason.
