Over the last few months we've followed the construction of a composite boat, from the plug all the way through manufacturing, structural assembly and systems installation. But there is one final step that connects everything: integration.

A boat is not built one isolated component at a time — every decision affects something else. A change in laminate can affect weight; weight distribution can affect performance; a structural reinforcement can affect systems routing; a systems installation can affect accessibility; a manufacturing decision can affect the final quality of the structure. That is why good yacht engineering means looking at the whole vessel, not just the individual parts.
